The Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) has launched a campaign calling for a dedicated consultant neurologist in 5 regional hospitals around the country, including Portlaoise Regional Hospital. Full details about the campaign can be found on the dedicated website Patients Deserve Better
On Monday, May 20th, NAI held an online launch event which allowed TDs and councillors to hear from local patients, patient organisations and clinicians on the need for a dedicated neurology service for Portlaoise Regional Hospital.
We were delighted to welcome three speakers at the Portlaoise launch:
- Tony Flanagan, a person living in Portlaoise with Multiple Sclerosis
- Doctor Petya Mihaylova, Consultant Neurologist Tallaght University Hospital
- Martina Sinnott, a person living with Parkinson's Disease
If you could not attend the Portlaoise launch, you can view the recording at Portlaoise May 20th Launch
