The Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) has launched a campaign calling for a dedicated consultant neurologist in 5 regional hospitals around the country, including Wexford General Hospital. Full details about the campaign can be found on the dedicated website Patients Deserve Better
On Monday, June 10th, NAI held an online launch event which allowed TDs and councillors to hear from local patients, patient organisations and clinicians on the need for a dedicated neurology service for Wexford General Hospital.
We were delighted to welcome two speakers at the Portlaoise launch:
- Lorna Whitty, a person living in Wexford with Multiple Sclerosis
- Doctor Orla Tuohy, Consultant Neurologist Waterford University Hospital
