The Neurological Alliance of Ireland (NAI) has launched a campaign calling for a dedicated consultant neurologist in 5 regional hospitals around the country, including Letterkenny University Hospital. Full details about the campaign can be found on the dedicated website Patients Deserve Better
On Monday, June 24th, NAI held an online launch event which allowed TDs and councillors to hear from local patients, patient organisations and clinicians on the need for a dedicated neurology service for Letterkenny University Hospital.
We were delighted to welcome three speakers at the Letterkenny launch:
- Dr Siobhan Kelly, Consultant Neurologist at Sligo University Hospital
- Elaine Coll a local person living with Multiple Sclerosis
- Laura Hardaker, a local person living with Epilepsy
